God Told Me

God told me not to conform.

God told me to stay free,

to listen to Him,

to live a life filled with love and trust.

He guided me through every step in my life: each scary decision,

each heartbreak,

each personal growth journey.

He softened the hard with love and purpose. He braved the uncomfortable with new comforts.

He removed the struggles

and replaced them with ease.

He sparked joy!

God told me when to move,

when to care for someone,

and when to step away.

He told me to listen, as He whispers guidance.

God speaks, reminding me to shift a thought,

or showing me a new way to reframe it.

It’s not always easy to listen through the noise of life.

When our ego comes into play,

we can only run, fight, and protect for so long.

Until we surrender.
